IJA Reno

We attended the IJA Festival in Reno, NV on July 13-19, 2003.

Below are some pictures of Donner Pass just outside Reno.

We enjoyed a few days afterwards at nearby Lake Tahoe with some jugglers.  We drove over Mt. Rose to get from Reno to Lake Tahoe.  The drive around Lake Tahoe was beautiful, especially Emerald Bay which I've heard is the most photographed place in the U.S.

We took a 5-mile hike on the Rubicon Trail along the undeveloped shores of Lake Tahoe.  We started at Emerald Bay near Vikingsholm, the Scandinavian-style castle/home built in the early 1920's, and ended up at D.L. Bliss State Park.  The views from the trail were breathtaking .... it was the highlight of our trip!

At the campground we juggled, cooked, ate dinner together, sat around the fire and played SET card game with some jugglers from the festival.
